This is my first partaking in a show in California since I have moved back here. The show starts on Tuesday September 22, and ends in the night from September 27 to September 28, 2009. Doors are open every night between 8 pm and 2 am next morning.

I’d like to invite you to join us all for the opening reception on Friday, September 25, starting at 8 pm and going until late!

    new work
Finally, finally – my gallery here on circlefly.de is showing lots of new work.
Most of it was presented last fall in my Peng! – Peng! exhibition in Karlstadt:
cut-outs, photos, paintings, my very first silkscreen print Peng! – Peng!, also available in my shop, the Vierklang-ball, and a general view of greed, the piece on one of the Seven Deadly Sins wich was shown in February at space gallery in San Francisco.

    "greed", detail

Seven Visual Artist to quench your imaginative anticipation, seven Culinary Artist to satisfy your salivating curiosity and seven Fashion Designers to inspire new ways of dressing or undressing the human figure.

Each artist will Interpret the Seven Deadly Sins. Which are, in case you do not remember all seven of them:
superbia, pride. avaritia, greed. luxuria, lust. ira, wrath. gula, gluttony. invidia, envy. acedia, sloth.

I would like to invite everybody to this event that will begin this coming Friday, February 6 at 9 pm. The space gallery, located in one of the many hearts of San Francisco, is presenting a group show curated by Angela Dix and Amelia Lewis. Music by DJ Kwacker and Loren Steele, as well as plenty of edible samples of all sins and a full bar will be provided until 2 am next morning.

Please try and make it out! ........I wish I could!

My contribution is on greed, a 4’ by 5’ piece made from heavy aluminum foil and paper by combining the two techniques of both manual embossing and cut-out. Above you can see the photo of a small detail.

zahllose Ungereimtheiten über Erdlinge im Sommer

These two cut-outs are now hanging on strings, sealed and safe behind glass. Thanks to spending a couple of hours at a framing shop, yesterday in Würzburg. Both paper pieces are part of a series named U.F.O.-Sounds, dating all the way back to the year 2006.

The composition you see here carries the following subtitle
a myriad of contradictions on Earthlings in summer time.
cut-out, paper, overall dimension 32.7×40.9”, approx. 1.6” deep

This particular piece is no longer available. But if you are interested, there a couple more cut-outs from this series, packed in huge plastic bags while residing in a large drawer…. just let me know.
