Maximilianeum in München
After the call for submission, and being selected by 2 different juries (Würzburg and Munich), I have the opportunity of a solo show at the Maximilianeum in Munich. The exhibition – _erste Szenen aus dem dritten Akt {der Zukunft} [First Scenes from the Third Part of Future] in the building’s South Wing will be up from April 27 to August 4. The concept and work circle around visions of the future, research in future, Utopia, and time travel through the future of cultures. There will be many cut-outs, ink on layered paper with cut-outs, tracing paper pieces and acrylic paintings. It is recommended to sign up ahead of time, and to bring your invitation card for passing the building’s gate in order to attend the opening reception on April 27 at 5 pm. Starting Monday, May 2, the exhibition will be open to the public. The Maximilianeum is a visually impressive building, elevated above the Isar river it overlooks the wide and feudal Maximilianstraße. The monument is enthroned on this street’s end. At present the Maximilianeum is hosting the Bavarian State Government.

4/7 till 4/9/2006The Civic Center, built in Late Gothic Style, dates back to the 16th Century. According to a tale, the house was planned the way that three people could enter the building at the same time without seeing each other.

New art in the old Kupsch

It is the weekend when all clocks will be switched to light savings time.
Hence, Sunday will be short, therefore you better run!Group show with its prelude Saturday, 3/25, starting at 6 pm in the old and abandoned Kupsch building, Thüngersheimer Straße 21, Veitshöchheim. There will be live music and good food.
In addition, open studios on Sunday between 2 and 7 pm.
Kupsch in downtown Veitshöchheim is an empty and vacant supermarket (from latin: super above, mercatus trade) – ideal for being turned into a temporary gallery.

Sparkasse Würzburg
2 person exhibition!

When we both saw the space first, we knew we had to do something a bit different – having the opportunity for an exhibition in a bank, in the realm of money and serious business. It was great fun to work towards this challenge. The exhibition, without any particular title, will start with its opening reception, tomorrow at 5 pm. There will be welcoming words by the banks president Dr. Rolf Fuchs, followed by an introduction by the curator of the bank’s gallery Angelika Stitz-Watzek. The show will be open to the public between March 9 and May 17. There is free parking in the building’s subterranean garage.
