    eine Schnur

It is all about the singular string, the one line, and the multi-layered paper cut outs.
In this exhibition I will be showing pieces that were made throughout the past 3 years. Work directly linked to certain phrases and sentences. Drawings, paintings or collages are portraying, translating, conducting or detouring collected word-chains, snippets or sounds. It is advisable to visit the show with a price list in your hans, as there will be additional text coming and going with each piece.

This solo show carries the title true stories, and is the first exhibition in the newly restored gallery in the king’s pavilion. You will find it in the left wing of Veitshöchheim’s former train station. The exhibition starts with an opening reception on October 1st at 6 pm, and continues until Saturday, October 25. Please come by and visit.

This will be my first solo exhibition of 2008.

All new, and never before presented work will be shown at the great space of a gallery named Galerie im Oberen Tor in Karlstadt. The array of pieces and media will be quite diverse. Having kept secret some ideas and pieces for quite some time now you might not right away link certain exponats to me, be surprised. You will find cut-outs, acrylics, wax, nail polish, photos, tape and assemblages.

Compared to my shows from the past four years this one will be of a different kind of duct and atmosphere!

I am inviting everybody to join me at the opening reception on Friday September 26 at 7 pm. With great joy and honor I am announcing Prof. Dr. Thomas Friedrich, who will be giving the introductory speech again, as he did for my very first solo show in January 2005. Thomas Friedrich is professor for Design Theory and Philosophy, as well as the leader of the Institute of Design Sciences at the University of Applied Sciences Mannheim. Between 1995 and 2002 he was working for the international and contemporary art fair ART-Frankfurt as referrer of the arts.

You can visit the exhibition on fridays, saturdays and sundays during official opening hours, or you call the gallery owner, Mr. Beßler, phone +49.9353.2710 for an individual appointment. The show will end on Sunday October 26 at 5 pm.

There will be a new highlight at the gallery: two different silk screens with a limited edition of 50 prints each. One motive is the image above Peng! – Peng! 7-color-print, 60×40 cm (23.6×15.7”)

    ehemaliges Amtsgericht, Rotehnburg

Art fills Space is a group exhibition in famous Rothenburg ob der Tauber, organized by three gentlemen, Mr. Sinn, Mr. Stegmann and Mr. Stein. Work of different media and dimension will be exposed by Angelika Summa, Dieter Stein, Heike Kleinlein, Heinz Altschäffel, Herbert Janouschkowetz, Josef Versl, Kathrin Feser, Kurt Grimm, Luigi Malipiero, Martin Türk, Norbert Kleinlein and Peter Stein.

The building is vast! Which is why visitors will be able to stroll on three floors, finding their way through countless rooms and corridors. Each participating artist will have his own space to present work. You will find my section on the second floor to the right – see photo above, and imagine the doors to be gone.

I am inviting everybody to join the opening reception on Sunday, August 3 at 11 am. Thanks to lucky circumstances the show will be opened by two famous singers, Gail Gilmore, known for her opera and gospel performances, and Oliver Munique, bass baritone at the Mainfranken-Theater in Würzburg. Furthermore a compelling introduction on life and work of Herbert Janouschkowetz will be given by Luise Limburg. The Arte Noah will berth on the shore by the warehouse and host the must-see show of Michael Nitsches sculptures.
